When our Grandchildren were young, I wrote stories and sent them to our daughter-in-law via email.
She would read them to her children.
After one story session, she sent a reply, "The kiddos liked your short clip."
Short clip?
Hey, I want to be a short clip writer.
I quickly checked to see if there was an email using the name ShortClipWriter.
There was not, and I signed up for ShortClipWriter@gmail.com
A Google Email account is needed to create a free website like this one, using Google's Sites App.
About the design of my website
I learned how to build this website by watching YouTube videos. I studied the ways to use the Google Sites App.
I watched hours of videos and finally learned a couple of things.
After learning the basics inside the box, it was time to start experimenting outside the box.
As a writer, I wanted a simpler design that lets a reader focus on reading.
I built my first website, using HTML coding, back in 1998, and I used it to make traditional websites.
I discovered the Google Sites App. All I needed was a Gmail account.
I worked with Google's web design tool and developed a simple style, one that works for me.
About my goals for this site
As you are reading my poems and stories, I hope you are reminded of your moments that made you the person who everyone knows today.
Seeing the simplicity of my website design, I hope you are inspired to create a site that tells the stories your family cherishes about you.
Remember this.
They are family stories, and all the readers want to be happy while reading. Especially the person who was included in your story.
I am careful because I don't want to appear in a family court drama on TV or participate in a Thanksgiving gobble.
