Red Rock Canyon is in Clark County, Nevada, just 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip.
The drive through the park is on a 13-mile one-way asphalt road that stretches from the entrance to the exit.
No U-turns allowed.
To avoid overcrowding, reservations are required.
Looking west, I see the morning light reflected in the valley beyond, and it will remain in my brain.
The person in the lower right walks on a path for a close-up view of the rocks.
The one-way paved loop is 13 miles long. There are 12 parking areas where you can park your car and take a hike. Can you see the white dot of a car parked at the end of this road?
Passengers will be taking plenty of snapshots of the red rocks as they ride along.
